SaTalaia's Favorite Quote: If at any time I begin to lose hope for myself, let me simply look inside my heart and see all the good actions I have ever performed, from the smallest to the grandest. When I see how much happiness I have given, I will remember the purpose of my life.

Weight:175
Body Type:Average
Eye Color:Brown
Hair Color:Brown
Habits:Non smoker, non gambler, drinks occasionally, putting the needs of others before my own,
Phobias:Wasps, ...What purpose do they serve ? Or am I missing something ?
Makes me happy:Watching my son grow up, Smiles, Sunshine,

My Income:Modest... yet appreciating this is of course relative to another persons income.
More about me:I have a gift of a word to all women : Respect... I am an I would like person not an I want person... Not a gladiator who fights to prove his daily worth but always defends his love for someone special with honesty... Not perfect, just perfect for someone... I do not have a computer at home and know I will never have one as the temptation to spend a significant part of ones life on it does not appeal to me. In the arms or on the arm of a loved one, is by far, a better place to be... As for romance, well that would always be left to Cupid's arrow...
My perfect partner:My son's mother (13 good years)...
I'd like to meet:"The One", for a second time would be good. However as it would have to be mutual it is extremely unlikely to ever happen, ...Next person would have to be Jean Charles de Menezes. I only hope I would be able to tell him "Your death was not in vain because lessons were learnt". However, make no mistake about my view on his death; at the end of the day responsibility lies somewhere because a challenge was not made.
Considered thoughts.
1) I take my picture off and the profile dies. Now, if I were vain, I might be tempted to believe that I was more than just average. If one cannot see beyond a picture does it explain why many keep making the wrong choice ? 2) Make sure your heart is not like a horse chestnut on a string. Only of worth, when a king. 3) One only needs to close ones eyes to be able to see more. 4) Never deprive someone of their dreams. It may be all they have. 5) A partner, a soul mate, a lover, should be there to wipe away any tears. 6) Love is a two sided mirror. When looked through together, each see a reflection of the person that is on the other side. 7) What is better ? To catch the eye or appeal to the imagination. 8) Rain, upon a naked body, a luxury we can all afford. 9) Whether we are the Yolk or the White, we can still make a reunion, a delight. 10) Global warming equals mankind’s failure to monitor and address the increases in the world’s population since 1850; preferring to lay the blame elsewhere. 11) White light refracted in a prism reveals the colour components. God refracted through Mankind reveals the colour components also, through differing views. “Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be…” Desiderata. 12) Tiz always best me thinks, to not fear the unknown but investigate the possibilities. 13) For me the beauty of God is the not seeing, yet believing, without evidence; with ultimately an acceptance that God is everything. However, I do not believe that holding this view entitles me to believe others should hold this view also. 14) Lust is born out of something we desire. Love is born out of something we admire. Appreciate the difference when viewing another. Before… from true love and loves passion we must, retire. 15) Life, put simply is, to function, to grow. How one functions and how one grows depends in part on the environment into which one is placed. Fortunately, genes (and other stuff) ensure the development of individuality. This identity is unique and is for me an important part of life as ultimately it protects mankind. Many scientists etc. would have us believe that dabbling with genes (and stuff) will make us better in one way or another. Mankind’s vanity is no match for Mother Nature in my book. She has been around for longer and I respect her say in most, if not all, matters. 16) IF I COULD SHARE MY STRENGTHS: It would be with, Katie Piper. Should she ever require it. 17) For me the perfect shot is one that captures part of the subject’s soul. More often, than not, it is not a pose that catches the moment, it is a moment in time that allows a soul to shine.
With regard to:
MY PERFECT PARTNER. Why do so many declare 'Nobody is perfect' ? Surely it is about knowing who that person is, with or without their inperfections. . . . . FRIENDS. I never publish friends in the gallery that Snappville provide (or allow myself to be published). I see it as too close to 'Zoolike' for comfort. . . . . AGE: I do not publish my age but for openess it should be known that it is between 40-60. Age is but a number to me. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . SITE OBSERVATIONS: 1) Invisible Button(s). Think who might be pushing an invisible button if they had one fitted to their physical selves. So I ask 'Does it make it any more acceptable that it is part of a community web site''? This profile will never hide in the shadows contained within sites such as these, for this is where the peeping toms live and no hidden agenda with me. Alas, for the time being at least, what I look like will be a mystery for most, as removed picture in 2008... 2) The young wishing to look old, the old wishing to look young. Perhaps, the mid life thing is born out of this... 3) If one is to appreciate a cultivated garden, one must be prepared to weed and remove the dead wood...
Aho Mitakuye Oyasin
I cast a bottle into the sea and this was my reward. “Aho Mitakuye Oyasin'. My thanks to the person that retrieved the bottle and took time out to message me... such are the rewards for those that believe in the virtue of patience.
Gift of a Word :
Next time you are in the company of a special friend, think about saying to yourself 'If I have no money to buy this friend a gift, what word could I give them instead. Gift of a word is about finding a single word that is so full of meaning that it would be cherished because it cost the sum of considered thoughts. It may sound easy but rest assured finding the word is not as easy as it first sounds. Find the right one however and it will be ' A memory, for two, worthy of recall for ever'.
The White Isle.
1) You know the moment you are on The White Isle. It is when you exit the airports sliding doors and the warmth embraces your face like the cupped hands of a loved one. . . . . 2) If I were looking ! Then, 'In My Eyes' you would have to be 'A Shooting Star'. Sent from 'Heaven' to 'Cafe Del Mar'. Lonliness' would not be for you or me, for in an 'Oridinary World' we would both 'Choose Life' to see. . . . . 3) The lyrics of Sand in my Shoe by Dido whispher to me. Do they to you ?
Who I would take out for dinner as a friend or on a date (If I were dating, which I am not).

Political ViewsWhilst I have views, as a realists I recognise that in the grand scheme of things they matter little. Most politicians are but puppets on strings serving their own interests and more importantly the people who really control the world., 98% of the worlds wealth is controlled by 2% of the worlds population tends to sum it up for me.

PRIVATE
Half the problem with Snappville is this basic floor. It undermines the community thing that this site bangs on about. My answer is simple. I think the site should provide a blank panel (similar to the panel they provide for profiles that have not downloaded a main photo) with the word PRIVATE printed on it, rather than allowing their picture to appear. Then one can choose who to click on based on what remains. That being, the profiles name alone. If they want to be private it will be no skin off their nose I feel. Personally I would love to find a site that tuned into what profiles had to say about the person first and foremost. One that achieved this by not allowing the browse bars/pages to show the persons image as the main photo. The only image that could be seen would be something that the person felt represented the profile or spoke to the person(s) they were seeking. This is as much to do with understanding oneself, as I feel that in order to know someone one must first know thyself. Photo's would be available I hasten to add but only by accessing the person home page first.
